The Caregiving Youth Advisory Council provides non-binding, subject-matter guidance to support the integrity and ethical stewardship of the Caregiving Youth Recognition Framework.

Role Of The Advisory Council

​

The Council may:

  • Advise on definitions, standards, and best practices

  • Provide lived-experience and professional insight

  • Support alignment with education and community systems

  • Inform ethical and inclusive implementation

Governance Boundaries

 

The Advisory Council:

  • Holds no fiduciary responsibility

  • Exercises no governance authority

  • Does not direct MCWEF policy or operations

  • Serves strictly in an advisory capacity

Composition  

 

Members may include:

  • Educators and school administrators

  • Military family advocates

  • Youth development experts

  • Policy and research professionals

  • Individuals with lived caregiving experience

All members serve voluntarily.

Council members may be listed publicly with the designation:

Serving in a non-fiduciary, advisory capacity.
