TCCSH

Turn Care into Credit™ (TCCSH) is a national initiative recognizing teen caregivers, especially military-connected youth, by converting caregiving responsibilities into verified community service hours, leadership acknowledgment, and opportunity pathways.

Across the United States, millions of teens quietly provide care to parents, siblings, grandparents, or loved ones.

  • Their work is real.

  • Their contribution is essential.

  • Yet it often goes unrecognized.

TCCSH exists to change that. Developed by the Military Child World Expo Foundation (MCWEF), TCCSH acknowledges caregiving as meaningful service and ensures teens receive the credit, dignity, and recognition they deserve.

Who We Serve

  • Military-connected teen caregivers

  • Civilian teen caregivers

  • Youth providing emotional, medical, or household care

  • Teens balancing school with family responsibility

How It Works - Step By Step

Step 1: Register
Teens (or parents/guardians) complete a confidential registration form.

Step 2: Describe Care
The teen shares, only what they are comfortable sharing, how they support a loved one.

Step 3: Verify
Verification may include:

  • Parent/guardian confirmation

  • School counselor or educator acknowledgment

  • Community or faith leader confirmation

No medical diagnosis required.

Step 4: Credit & Recognition
Approved caregiving hours are converted into:

  • Community Service Hours

  • Certificates of Recognition

  • Leadership Documentation

  • Eligibility for awards and invitations

Step 5: Ongoing Support
Teens may continue logging care, receive updates, and access future opportunities.
