National Platforms and Programmatic Initiatives
What We Do
The Military Child World Expo Foundation advances its national role through a combination of flagship platforms and targeted initiatives that respond to demonstrated needs among military-connected children and families.

Our work is structured, deliberate, and grounded in dignity, protection, and belonging.

Flagship National Platform
The Military Child World Expo
The Military Child World Expo is MCWEF’s flagship national convening, providing a high-visibility platform that brings together children, families, institutions, and partners from across the country and around the world.
The Expo serves as an annual point of connection, recognition, learning, and alignment, and amplifies the voices and experiences of military-connected youth.
The Expo is a platform not the entirety of MCWEF’s work.
Programmatic Initiatives
MCWEF develops initiatives to address specific gaps in recognition, care, and cultural preservation. These initiatives operate within MCWEF’s national framework and are supported by Membership and Chapters.
Teen Caregiver Community Service Hours (TCCSH)
A national recognition framework acknowledging the ongoing, unpaid caregiving responsibilities carried by teen caregivers, particularly within military-connected families.
Arts & Humanities for the Military Child
An initiative dedicated to cultural preservation, creative expression, and youth storytelling as essential components of identity and belonging.
