The Military Child World Expo

Culture, Identity & Belonging

Authority Statement

The Military Child World Expo is the flagship national convening of the Military Child World Expo Foundation (MCWEF), the National Association for Military-Connected Children.

The Expo serves as the primary public platform through which MCWEF convenes families, youth, institutions, and partners to elevate the visibility, voices, and experiences of military-connected children.

Purpose of the Expo

The Military Child World Expo exists to:

  • Provide national visibility to military-connected children

  • Create structured opportunities for youth engagement and learning

  • Convene institutions across sectors in a shared space

  • Serve as an annual point of connection, recognition, and reflection

The Expo is not a standalone event. It is an expression of MCWEF’s national role.

Relationship to MCWEF

MCWEF governs and operates the Military Child World Expo as part of its broader institutional mission. While the Expo provides high-visibility engagement, MCWEF’s work continues year-round through national initiatives, recognition frameworks, and cultural stewardship.

For event-specific information, logistics, and participation details, visitors are directed to the public-facing Expo platform.

A National Platform, Not a Program

The Military Child World Expo functions as:

  • A national convening space

  • A visibility platform for youth and institutions

  • A point of alignment for partners and stakeholders

It does not replace direct services or ongoing programs. Instead, it amplifies them and connects them within a national framework.
