Legacy & Preservation
Military children deserve more than recognition, they deserve a national home. The Military Child World Expo Foundation unites youth, families, caregivers, communities, and partners under one institution dedicated entirely to their stories, identity, wellbeing, leadership, and legacy.

Our Uniqueness
MCWEF is the nation’s first foundation built exclusively for military-connected children, uniting youth, families, schools, installations, and community partners under one national home of belonging.
Its uniqueness lies in combining a membership association, youth leadership pathways, teen caregiver recognition, arts and humanities programming, research and policy insight, and the world’s only Military Child World Expo.
MCWEF elevates youth voice, celebrates cultural identity, preserves heritage, and provides year-round initiatives that support emotional wellbeing, educational continuity, mobility challenges, and global inclusion.
With its combination of cultural, research, youth, and community ecosystems, MCWEF fills a national gap no other organization addresses.

A Centralized Home
MCWEF aims to create a centralized national home for military-connected children, families, and partners by providing access to membership, resources, youth programs, arts and cultural initiatives, and national research.
Its goals include connecting families to chapters, empowering youth through leadership opportunities, supporting teen caregivers, strengthening school and community engagement, promoting mental health and wellness, and elevating the cultural identity of military children.
MCWEF also serves as a gateway to the Military Child World Expo, showcases national impact, enables volunteer and partnership engagement, builds donor support, and strengthens the visibility, voice, and advocacy of military-connected youth nationwide.
