Military-connected children serve alongside their families, adapting to frequent moves, changing schools, and the realities of military life. Yet for many years, there was no single national space dedicated to recognizing their experiences, contributions, and voices.
The Military Child World Expo was created to fill that gap.
Celebrating America's 25oth at The Military Child World Expo 2026

The Expo is a free, public, family-friendly national convening that celebrates military-connected children through culture, education, recognition, and community engagement. Hosted in Arlington, Virginia, the Home of the Military Child, the Expo brings together families, schools, organizations, and partners in one shared space.
What makes the Military Child World Expo different is its focus on the child, not the institution.
The Expo highlights:
Youth creativity and expression
Cultural identity and belonging
Teen caregiver recognition
Educational and community resources
Family-centered experiences
Participation in the Expo is free and open to the public. Tickets issued at $0.00 are used only to manage capacity and ensure access, not to generate revenue. Youth participation is never tied to payment.
The Military Child World Expo is governed and operated by the Military Child World Expo Foundation (MCWEF), which serves as the National Association for Military-Connected Children. Through the Expo, MCWEF advances national recognition while building connections between communities, educators, and families.
For military-connected children, the Expo offers something powerful: visibility. A place where their experiences are not an afterthought, but the focus.
For families and communities, the Expo creates an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage, together.
The Military Child World Expo matters because recognition matters. Belonging matters. And military-connected children deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported.
